Locust Street Neighborhood Art Classes offers free painting, drawing, clay and photography workshops for children and adults.


This course will examine a wide range of approaches to drawing as a means of conveying ideas. Using both traditional and alternative drawing media, this class will emphasize development of concepts, use of imagination, and invention Students will be encouraged through selected problems, to expand and even challenge the conventions of markmaking. Inquiry into separate themes: perception, formalism, fantasy, and ritual, will provide students with a variety of strategies for developing a personal approach to drawing methods and imagery.
